About Fountain of Life Community Church
Beliefs
Fountain of Life Community Church is a part of the Evangelical Free Church of America, an association of autonomous churches united around these theological convictions:
  • Scriptures
    • We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.

      II Timothy 3:16-17

  • God
    • We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

      Genesis 1:26

  • Jesus
    • We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He now is our High Priest and Advocate.

      Philippians 2:6-11

  • Holy Spirit
    • We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this age to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service.

      John 15:26 and Acts 2:1-4

  • Man
    • We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.

      Romans 3:23 and John 3:16

  • Salvation
    • We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God.

      I Peter 1:19-20

  • Ordinances
    • We believe that Water Baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church during this present age. They are, however, not to be regarded as a means of salvation.

      Matthew 28:19 and Romans 6:4

  • Church
    • We believe that the true Church is composed of all such persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which he is the head.

      John 3:16 and Ephesians 5:23

  • Membership
    • We believe that only those who have received Christ as their personal Lord and Savior shall be eligible for membership in the local church.

      Ephesians 1:23 and Matthew 16:18

  • Governed
    • We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church, and that every local church has the right under Christ to decide and govern its own affairs.

      Ephesians 5:23

  • 2nd Coming
    • We believe in the personal, and premillennial and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this Blessed Hope had a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.

      I Thessalonians 4:16-17

  • Afterlife
History

Fountain of Life Community Church was founded in September 2000. Prior to the grand opening, the church planting team held source meetings for interested seekers and members. The official launch date was September 17, 2000 at Franklin Elementary School with an attendance of around 125 people. God was rapidly growing the church which caused several facility moves. Fountain of Life Community Church moved to Tinsletown USA, Pueblo's main movie venue. It was known around the city that our church had "the best seat in town". From Tinsletown, we moved to Heaton Middle School and then into the SoCo Mini Mall at 801 W. 4th St. It was here that the vision of purchasing our own building became a reality. Finally, in March of 2004, we purchased a beautiful building at 540 Alma Avenue, on the south side of Pueblo, near the Colorado State Fairgrounds.

Our current pastor is Monty Mora. Pastor Monty, with his wife Jeannine by his side, have labored intensively since his arrival at Fountain of Life. After an extensive search around the country, God brought Pastor Monty to lead this church into the next level of Spirit led service and ministry.

The church has been growing and we are seeing an increase of Christian worshipers in Pueblo. The atmosphere of the church is electric and the services are saturated  with the presence of the Holy Spirit. Lives are being saved and transformed for the honor of Christ. We are destined to make a deeper impact upon this world and we believe this congregation will meet needs, change lives and loose a fresh anointing on all those we come in contact with. We believe it is time to "Break Out"!
